Virginia Beach Event

Winemaking in Virginia is a relatively recent development, but you wouldn’t know that from the facts: our state is rated fifth in the country for wine production—and is a top wine travel destination! Whether you’re an experienced connoisseur or an interested amateur, Virginia’s vineyards offer plenty to enjoy. Which brings us to the Virginia Wine Festival in Virginia Beach.
This May and October, you will find some of the best on display at the annual Spring Town Point Virginia Wine Festival and Town Point Virginia Fall Wine Festival! Over 30 of the state’s wineries will come together at Town Point Park in Norfolk for a total of more than 200 different wine varieties. This is one of our favorite things to do in Virginia Beach.
Guests of Sundial Inn are truly in luck: Norfolk is less than 25 minutes away by car—just head West along Highway 264. Stay with us and you can easily visit the beach in the morning before heading out: since the festival runs from 11 am to 6 pm each day, there’s plenty of time for both!
In addition to the lineup of tasting opportunities, there will be special premieres of new wine vintages. These and all the rest will be available for purchase by bottle or case. The festival will also feature live music and gourmet foods to make your day complete.
If you’re staying past the festival weekend and find that your taste for Virginia wineries isn’t quite satisfied yet, we recommend a visit to the Reaver Beach Brewing Co., O’Connor Brewing Company, and Smartmouth Brewing Company are also open for tastings and tours.
